Telugu remake of Kahanni starts principle shooting
Sekhar Kammula is all set to direct Telugu remake of Kahaani where Vidya Balanportrayed as Vidya Bagchi, a pregnant woman in search of her missing husband in the city of Kolkata during the Durga Puja festivities. Now that same role will be played by Nayanthara in the Telugu remake.

This Telugu remake has begun its principal shooting in Hyderabad and the film is yet to be titled. Here is buzz that Nayanthara’s character is named as Anamika and she’s reportedly very happy with her role and the meticulous pre-planning which Sekhar Kammula has done for the film.

Though the film is directing in Telugu will also release in Tamil. The film is jointly produced by Endemol India, Logline Productions and Select Media Holdings. A huge set resembling old city has been built in Hyderabad and a major part of the film will be shot here. More details are awaited.

Double dhamaka for Colors Swathi

Actress Swathi is all smiles and for good reason too. She is not just basking in the success of her latest Tollywood outing, Swami Ra Ra, but also of her Malayalam debut, Amen. "I'm glad that both my films are hits. Originally, my Telugu film was supposed to have released long ago, but we waited for the right time and somehow, it just clicked," she says.

Talking about her debut Malayalam movie, she says, "We worked very hard for this film which showcases magical realism — a new genre in recent times. My character, Soshanna, is not a typical heroine and is in full control of her life. She is not afraid to express herself. I'm glad to have got such a great debut," she says. The actress will be in Delhi on Tuesday to showcase the film to the media.

There are also reports that the actress has signed another Malayalam film London Bridge. "I got the offer, but they wanted to shoot for the film for two months continuously abroad and I have to check my schedule before signing the film," she says.

With the success of Swami Ra Ra, Swathi has many Telugu offers coming her way too. "I am listening to some scripts right now and I will announce the details soon," says Swathi, whose upcoming film, Bangaru Kodipetta is ready to hit the screens. Swathi is also working on a Tamil film, Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara.

Allu Arjun’s Iddarammayilatho release date confirmedStylish Star Allu Arjun starrer Iddarammayilatho is set for a release on May 23. Producer Ganesh Bandla has confirmed the release date of the film. 

In this romantic entertainer Allu Arjun, Amala Paul and Catherine Tresa are playing the lead roles and the flick is directed by Puri Jagannadh. Iddarammayilatho is lavishly made on the banner of Parameswara Arts Production with major part of the film shot in the locales of Spain.

The film’s shooting part has been wrapped up and the post-production works are progressing at brisk space. Devi Sri Prasad composed musical scores have been released recently and received good response in audience.
